Babi Italia Cribs

Babi Italia cribs have been made in Italy for over 15 years. It has quite a large presence in America with both traditional and LifeStyle models being available.

Babi Italia makes three types of crib. There's a traditional styled, drop-side model, a 3-in-1 and a LifeStyle model. The 3-in-1 from Babi Italia converts from a crib to a toddler bed through to a day bed without re-assembly. The guard rail is sold separately. The LifeStyle bed from Babi Italia goes a stage further, as it will convert into a full size bed complete with headboard and footboard. The LifeStyle guard rail and bed rails are sold separately.

Both of these types have become very popular in recent years as they can be changed from one form to another as your child grows. They can also save parents money as there is no need to buy further beds for growing children. However, they don't come with drop sides although you can adjust the mattress height making it easy to put to bed and take out Baby.

Babi Italia Crib Collection

The Babi Italia Contempo crib is available in either Classic White or Sandstone. Both of them are of solid wood construction with veneers and both are 3-in-1 types. They are simple in design with a modern touch. The head and foot boards are matching with gently curving lines. The slats are plain and uniform. There are 3 adjustable mattress heights and the dimensions are 49.5"h x 56.5"d x 31"w. A matching mattress can be purchased separately. Finally, the Contempo collection also features an armoire and combo with hat drawer - the hat can be converted to a nightstand - legs sold separately.

The Babi Italia Pinehurst crib is available in 3 finishes; Espresso, Tea Stain and Natural. These are the Babi Italia LifeStyle series. The Espresso is of solid rubber wood construction with birch veneer. The Espresso also comes as a traditional crib with very graceful lines and comes with one drop side. The Tea Stain crib is constructed of pine with pine veneer. It is also available in either LifeStyle or Crib models. The Pinehurst Natural is of rubber wood construction with birch veneer. It comes in a LifeStyle model only. There are 3 adjustable mattress heights and the dimensions are 48"h x 57"d x 32.5"w. All Babi Italia LifeStyle baby cribs can be converted using the company's 'Dual Leg Construction' design, which means that they can be converted by removing just 4 bolts. Like the Contempo collection you can also buy additional items for the nursery to match the crib, these items are an armoire, combo, hutch and nightstand.

All the cribs meet CPSC (Consumer Products Safety Commission) standards and the paint used on is lead free and non-toxic.

Babi Italia cribs are of excellent quality and should give many years service. You can expect to pay around $300 to $400. They are sold exclusively at Babies R Us.
