Chanukah Menorah: A Great Creative Object

Chanukah is the main characteristic of the Jewish festival which is also know as the festival of colors. Every sunset for 8 days, one more candle is added in menorah those that already carry on glowing until at the last part of the week. The top point of menorah is forever glowing. On the very first night of Chanukah, two candles are lit, the center one & one on the base. At the last part of the 8 days, it looks very beautiful. This is the ceremonial for the Chanukah’s lighting. The Chanukah menorah is also known as Hanukiyah. It has nine holders which carry candles. There are total eight candles, one for each night of Chanukah. The 9th candle is known as the SHAMASH.

Chanukah Menorahs is an object of creative structure which is designed for centuries. But not at all before has there been such type of artistic variety as nowadays. On the Chanukah menorah one candle is placed in the very far right location. Then Shamash is put in the middle of the menorah. At the time of lighting the menorah, Jews say all three blessings. One of the blessings is generally said only on the very first night of Chanukah, and other blessings are said on the rest of all other nights. Jews specially remember not to turn off the candles of menorah, but to keep on lighting.
