Stroll around to see how comfortable they feel when you move. If you have every intention of slimming before your wedding, make sure that you get the wedding dress for the size you are now and not what you think you will be on the wedding day. It is much easier to get your dress adjusted by taking it in rather than having to try to add material if the slimming did not have the effect you were after.

You may be tempted to try to cut costs by picking a cheaper style dress than you would like. You would be much better cutting costs on the flowers, cake, photography and getting family and friends to do these for you, since your wedding dress will be the main focus of your day. If you are not able to spend the type of money required by a wedding boutique, try looking at wedding consignment shops as these often have great quality nearly new dresses at a fraction of the cost of a brand new one.

Regardless of the wedding dress you finally end up choosing, remember that you are the person that your fianc wants to marry, not the dress. The dress is only used to ensure you look your best on the day.

Once you have selected your wedding dress, keep it in the bag that it comes in and try not to take it out too often. This way you will be adding to the atmosphere as your guests see your dress for the first time as you walk down the aisle. Always make sure to not show your dress to your intended before the ceremony too as it is bad luck.
