Hair color offer instant change to anyone's look. Men and women have been coloring their hair since the beginning of time using chemicals, plants and pigments. Semi-temporary hair colors stand up to 4-6 times of shampooing your hair. Temporary hair colors are usually used for party purposes and can be easily washed off by shampooing your hair. Color rinses are good for toning hairs but do not last long. Permanent hair color opens up the outer layer of the hair so that its insoluble formula then reacts with the hair's middle layer and deposit the color permanently. While coloring your hair for the first time, start at the crown or at the nape of the neck, where the natural hair color is darkest.

2. Hair color at the hair ends fade more quickly as they are porous and do not hold color.

3. If you go out in the sun or swim regularly, your hair color may wear off quickly. To avoid this, condition.

4. Chemicals used in swimming pool may give a greenish tint to blonde hairs.

5. Unwanted warm tone of hair can be calmed down using ash or violet accents.

6. For gray hair, use a shade darker than the shade of color used on the rest of the hair.

7. Always color your hair, when they are fully dry because color of damp and wet hair may get diluted later
