Freudians Catch Up to Pulpiters - Too Little Too Late

Newscasters have been furnishing the list of the latest sexually driven crimes with every new report but now psychiatry has begun to admit that the inundation of sexual material in the media is hurting the young in America. The studies are complete the facts are in but it is not being taken very seriously.

Deep at the heart of the matter is a consumerist driven, profiteering factor that makes stopping a runaway train look easy. The internet leads the pack with more billions of dollars flowing across the board for sex than all other media combined. It seems to be single handedly producing an army of predators that only want your children for the prey.

The latest example is a police sting in a part of Florida that staged a meeting between men who used the internet to supposedly set up meetings with under aged girls not knowing they were about to meet the law.

The police who posed as the underage girls got to click the cuffs on 28 guys from teens to 55 year old males in the first day of the sting. If this sting were duplicated across the nation not just in remote rural areas but city wide and statewide the numbers of arrests would be in the multi-thousands. One would think it is open season on minors not altogether different than duck season or deer season for hunters.

Since Roe V. Wade was laid on America the most dangerous place to be in this country was in a mother’s womb. Sadly for those who made it past Roe V. and started off in life, some other extremely dangerous places have emerged.

The school system is fast becoming one of those places. In California a female teacher was arrested for buying booze for teens and having sex with two of her son’s friends and is now facing charges for these acts. It is a story that is becoming all too common.

If it isn’t the teachers then watch out for your classmates. In Spearsville Louisiana a fifth grade teacher left the class for a brief time only to return and find two students engaged in sex on the floor and others beginning to fondle each other. Had the teacher not returned when she did it may have resulted in an orgy in a fifth grade classroom. A thought that is hard to imagine.

Teens have up to now held center stage for hormonally driven escapades, yet teen’s worst behavior is now crossing over into the bizarre and perverted genre. In Padre Island Texas teens on spring break have made the news with videos of girl on girl action. As hordes of guys and some girls gawked, the kissing and fondling was applauded and accepted as if it were as normal as mom’s apple pie.

Psychiatry has enjoyed replacing the influence of religion and clergy. Yet even these chosen ones stand powerless to stem the tide of tsunami like waves of sexual preoccupation that is dumping on American society. The latest studies out of the Freudian sector of disciplines seem to fall under the category of too little and far too late.

In America it may take years for the public to become fully aware and fully outraged by a specific trend or influence. Those individuals in time form into groups who call upon their representative government to provide some laws, regulations or deterrents. This entire process often takes so much time that the very ogre they are trying to hold back has become a giant in the land before much can be done.

For an entire generation now the best preachers of the gospel have been warning that the sexual revolution would produce sexual convulsions symptomatic of a sick and dying culture. A recent poll that listed the top most trusted people has placed gospel preachers in a category with used car salesmen. We began to ignore trusted voices even as we gave the clergy their walking papers and replaced them with our own new and modern brainchild, modern psychiatry.

Hardly a single American is unaware that the price of a barrel of crude oil holds us hostage as much as the guns of a terrorist group. Additionally few of us would disagree that instead of being told to cut back on everything we would love to ask the oil companies to stop boasting of their huge yearly profits. We would rather see auto makers and oil companies finding ways to give us cheaper and more environmentally safe products with their own big bucks. But what are the odds of that happening? Has anyone tried to swallow the ocean lately?

Likewise it would be like trying to swallow the ocean to get Hollywood and other youth influencing media to lower their profits just to ease up on the rape of the minds of our youth. Announcing the huge profits of games, internet attractions, television shows and films has become as common as reports of the stock market. The calls from their own high priests, even those hired as psychiatric consultants to the film industry are unheeded, nay, unheard!

What is the price of our children’s minds, bodies and general safety? It is just enough to allow a few actors, directors, producers or promoters to buy a few more jet planes, fancy sports cars or overpriced homes. Celebrity’s well applauded acts of charity appendaged to lives of opulence and indulgence doing little to offset their culpability in the fall of an entire generation.

One thing psychiatry is credited for is identifying something that discipline calls OCD. Obsessive compulsive disorder is a condition that has to do with unending preoccupation with certain behavior including sexual activity. It is rather easy to see in an individual but much harder to identify in a huge collective body such as a whole nation. If discovered in a nation, who is willing to call out an entire country? Modern psychiatry is now willing to admit to some degree that that’s the way it is but Pulpiters have been actively proclaiming it all along.

It doesn’t take a psychiatrist or a preacher to see the evidence of our national preoccupation with sex it takes only a remote control device or a movie ticket.

The continuous and uninterrupted flow of sexual content can be seen any day or night of the week. TV shows are centered on sex, sex crimes, sexual innuendo, and when that’s all finished we have the commercials. What’s for sale on the market between the floods of sexual content offered in these shows? Just to name a few there are ads for condoms, birth control pills and devices, sexually oriented lubricants, erectile enhancers, sexy clothing, and ad infinitum.

Teen magazines, TV and all other media combined have taken to pushing products that will make young girls sexier and more physically attractive so much so that a new word has emerged to describe these phenomena. It is called the “sexulization” of young females. It is becoming the biggest market on the block next to the price of crude oil.

So this won’t be just another impassioned polemic to elucidate the nascent and emerging penchant to absorb youth into a collective sexual OCD I must offer at least some resolve here. But there’s nothing new about it including the bet that you already knew that.

Stop is the word that best summarizes my advice. In other days the word would be repent. Using any words the meaning is the same, choose another path!

I have been asked many times what I think this speeding train marked “collective national sexual OCD” will do if it is not stopped. No punches pulled, it will cause the collapse of this country. It will bring the judgment of God with natural calamities and worse.

It will start with general troubles and catapult to the irreversible with the sudden and complete collapse of the American economy. It could end with our enemies taking up arms against us on our own soil. Please note that I not only don’t like saying this but I personally hope none of it ever happens. I can’t lie about it and I can’t withhold it after all I am myself a pulpiter and I am convinced every word of God is true.

I am also convinced that the motives of all Pulpiters, preachers and evangelist have been sorely misunderstood over the past generation. Most of them only care about their country as much as any ordinary person.

It is the love of this great nation that compels them to warn America that it is choosing a path that will bring it down to dust. It is love for America that caused one of America’s most beloved preachers the Rev. Billy Graham to say that if God doesn’t judge America then he may have to resurrect Sodom and Gomorrah and apologize to them. Graham, like any decent gospel preacher would rather see America take Gods other plan, not the plan that leads to its own demise. What is that plan, nothing new here, take a look.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14. Just so this article won’t end on a completely bad note the above Bible verse is God’s alternative plan. It sounds like a better plan and I hope that is the way some will hear it.

In our society we expect preachers and moralists to speak against immorality and licentiousness. Up to now psychiatrists and psychologists have had plenty of the products of media influence to study but have made few recommendations concerning it. That’s changing even though it may be all too late.
