Pain is described as a disagreeable feeling ranging from slight, localized discomfort to misery. This experience consists of both physiological and emotional elements. When injury occurs, the body discharges signals that advise the brain that there is a problem. The brain interprets this alarm as injury, and advises the person of the injury.
