Few people recognize nor accept that they do create their own reality, other then in hindsight. You look back and perhaps see that what happened in your life was in the main caused by the choices that you made. We tend to think that circumstances are presented to us and we simply have to adapt to what is going on. It’s easy to think that we are just a mere dot upon the ocean of life, and there is little that we can do to change the tide. But with a little effort and the application of lateral thinking it does become clear that you can move and change the direction and flow of your own river of life.

True, it can be more difficult for water to cut though rock as opposed to softer materials. But water will find a way down through cracks or around particularly challenging obstacles in its decent towards the ocean. It will persist. It knows where it is going and finds a way in which to get there. It will not be deterred.

When humans apply this same quality of persistence they will achieve equally successful results, no matter what hurdles lay in their pathway. And so focus and persistence are key ingredients in the pursuit of creating your own perfect world.

How you see your world is also affected by how you choose to look at it. If you see a rock in your pathway and it looks so big to you that you turn around and go back to where you came from that is a choice you have made based upon how you view that rock. You could have seen the rock and thought that you would simply climb over it, get it moved, walk around it, and so on. There are many possible choices that could be made but they are all dependent upon your unique focus upon the situation.

To create your own perfect world you have to develop the ability to keep an open mind and thereby see the many different options that are available to you. You need to be able to think laterally. And like water, you have to keep an ultimate goal in mind. If you know what you want to achieve in your world, and hold that image clearly in your focus and in your heart, you will find a way in which to get there.

These key ingredients apply to success in any thing. You can create success in business. You can create success in relationships. You can create success in your life.
