How confident people think

Since self confidence is nothing more than a set of beliefs that a person has about his abilities and himself it makes a lot of sense that if you acquired the same beliefs a confident person has you will become confident too.

Some people claim that thinking positively is the guy to building self confidence but that’s completely wrong simply because the thoughts a person gets are a direct result of his own beliefs.

If you believe that you are worthless then certainly you will get lots of negative thoughts even if you tried hard to suppress them. Psychological researches have also shown that trying to suppress a certain though only lead to an increase in its intensity.

So if confident people think positively and if you can’t think positively while you have self doubts then how can you think like confident people??

The answer is simple, focus on changing the beliefs themselves and not the thoughts this will let positive thoughts come on their own

How confident people think

Confident people have flaws just like anyone but them seem to be more focused on their points of strength. A confident person usually reminds himself of his already existing points of strength every now and then.

Don’t confuse this with affirmations, while affirmations is an attempt to fool your mind into believing into something that is not true this method is about thinking about the true points of strength a person has.

A confident person who has average looks doesn’t tell himself that he is becoming more and more attractive everyday but instead he tells himself through his thoughts that his confidence makes him much more charming than his more attractive friends.

In short, confident people keep reminding themselves of their points of strength through their thoughts.

Trying to use affirmations to build self confidence is like trying to convince a black person that he is blonde. Affirmations are based on lies and that’s why the subconscious mind always filters them before they reach the belief system.

And since self confidence building is all about changing the belief system affirmations would never work

How can you do this too??

Confident people don’t keep praising themselves all the time but they do it whenever something reminds them of their good qualities.

If a confident person is perfect at using computers then whenever someone talks about computers he will remember his good skills and he will start telling himself through his self talk that is a great person.

In order for you to do this you must make sure that

1) You have mastered enough life skills
2) You have to use these skills
3) Whenever you find yourself doing something you are good at keep praising yourself through your self talk

This process is very easy but usually people who lack self confidence lack the needed skills too and that’s why they find nothing to remind them of their worthiness

This is yet another strong reason you must develop your life skills as much as you can, and the more skills you will develop the more confident you will become.
