Those copywriters earning six figures a year will tell you, many people might have a talent for copywriting but no one is born with a skill. Mastering the craft of copywriting takes years of practice. As a copywriter just starting out, that statement might seem daunting, but don't be discouraged. Simply know that even the most well-known copywriting gurus didn't become high-paid professionals over night. Take an online class, read books and ebooks written by successful copywriters, but most of all, hone your own skills by practicing. Study the copy of writers you admire. Test your own copy to see what works and what doesn't. Then, tweak your copy and re-test. Successful copywriters are patient people who take pleasure in the process. Many successful copywriters say it takes literally hundreds of hours to master the craft of copywriting, so don't expect it to come naturally for you, even if you are a very talented writer.

Don't expect too much too quickly.
