Liver enlargement is usually an indicator of liver disease, although there are usually no symptoms associated with a slightly enlarged liver. Symptoms of a grossly enlarged liver include abdominal discomfort or "feeling full."

The liver is involved in many bodily functions, and is affected by a variety of conditions, many of which result in hepatomegaly. General causes include infection (viral, bacterial, or parasitic), malignancy (cancer or tumors), anemias, storage diseases, heart failure, congenital heart disease, toxins, and metabolic disturbances. If the liver becomes enlarged enough that it can be palpated below the costal margin, the patient may have hepatomegaly. The diagnosis must be confirmed by an imaging study of the liver.

Home Remedies for Liver Enlargement

*Take 50 grams of white radish leaves and stem, add sugar candy in it and drink it every morning with empty stomach.
*Drink spearmint juice with added sugar for 10 days.
*Take juice of 2 oranges empty stomach for 5-7 days.
*You can also take long brinjals (Eggplant) daily; it helps in restore the liver to its original position.
*You should take papaya, because it is useful in Liver Enlargement.
*Mix 300ml of carrot juice with 100 ml spinach juice or cucumber juice and have it daily.
