Psychic Reading: Genuine Or Bogus

For centuries it has been debated whether a psychic reading is valid and actually gives a glimpse into the past, present and future. Those who believe in this phenomenon, such as psychics, believe that the average human only utilizes ten percent of their brain and the unused portions are from where a psychic's "sixth sense" is from. Psychics use a variety of other instruments to improve their visions such as tarot cards and numerology.

The claim that ninety percent of our brain power is unused cropped up during the late 19th century, and is no longer taken seriously by scientists. This claim may have come from misinterpretations of statements by William James, Albert Einstein, or other scientists of the day. However, many psychics, clairvoyants, and occult followers continue to believe this to the present day.

Regardless of whether or not there is scientific evidence of our wasted brain space, psychics and those who believe in them insist that a psychic reading can be a tool with which one can use to understand the past and plan the future. Many people will not make important decisions without consulting a trusted psychic. Many celebrities, including some American presidents and their wives have followed the advice of psychics before making major decisions regarding their careers, health, love, and finances.

Although there are many male psychics, interestingly, the majority seem to be women. The reason for this may be that women in general have a natural inner instinctive sense, or what is commonly referred to as "women's intuition". The sensitive emotions such as empathy, compassion, and sympathy are more inherently natural in women and this may also be true of other mind sensitivities such as clairvoyance and visions.

Before the advent of technology, a psychic reading had to take place in either a psychic's place of business or over the phone. However, with the internet, psychics have now established an online business available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Some offer websites with consultations over the phone or email. Some customers who prefer to remain anonymous enjoy online chat rooms that allow the psychic to offer immediate help. Users can now log on for a psychic chat online whenever they please!

Since the beginning of time, man has looked for answers outside of the known to understand the unknown; searching the stars, the universe, and the paranormal. Clairvoyance has fascinated us and will continue to fascinate for as long as we have the minds to imagine.

Many rely on psychic readings for advice and insight, including powerful politicians. Psychics tend to be women more often than men; perhaps because they tend to approach life from an intuitive frame of reference, they are more prone to clairvoyance and precognition.
