Somewhere Magical in Northern Spain, Try the Pazo de Almuzara in Galicia?

The Pazo Almuzara is situated in the Carballiño region, Pazo Almuzara is in close proximity to the Oseira monastery, well known as the Galician Escorial. Besides this, the area is famous for its wells and hot water medicinal spas whose mineral properties are legendary, such as: O Carballiño, Caldas or Partovia. Not to be missed is a trip to see the vineyards built up on the sides of the nearby valleys cultivating the exquisite Ribeiro wine.

At the end of the 19th Century, Perfectino Vietez, a wealthy emigrant who had returned home, built a great house near to the site of the old Almuzara, where he had been born, in the region of O Carballiño. Pazo de Almuzara became an important building, home to noble families and kings, such as Alfonso XIII. It was restored in the 21st Century, and it boasts an immense garden, and a spectacular swimming pool.

With regards to the actual facilities that the Pazo has to offer they are as follows: 17 rooms.

All usual mealtimes are observed at this Pazo and they are, breakfast and dinner.

As well as the individual room facilities, this Pazo has the following shared amenities and facilities: Lounge, Conference room, Permanent exhibitions of paintings.

Outside you can find the following amenities for guests: 10 sq kilometres of gardens and a swimming pool.

The immediate geographic location for this Pazo is as follows: Pazo de Almuzara hides within its walls many secrets about the man who built it. He was an emigrant who returned to Ourense with a great fortune owing to the diamond trade. There is a legend that tells of a huge treasure that is still hidden within the walls of the pazo, so as the guest initiates the search, he can still enjoy the luxurious facilities and permanent art exhibitions on view in the house.

With regards to the scenic location for the Pazo, it is extremely well located. Its privileged situation makes it ideal to discover architectural jewels such as the monastery of Oseira, take a dip in the numerous spas available in the area or savour the rich local gastronomy and lose oneself in the still unspoiled nearby wildlife zones..

If the above are not enough for either you or your family then you will find within close proximity the following facilities; Coarse fishing (in season), Hiking and other assorted rural pursuits.
