Understanding your Soul and Self

Understanding your inner self is very important in self-development. If one is to be a well-rounded better person then one has to understand the importance of the inner self one has. Your inner self is the source of a number of our emotions as well as some subconscious decisions we take for granted.

In our day-to-day lives, we experience all sorts of experiences and these experiences shape how we are – be it in our inner self or our exterior. At times, we do not even realize the damage the day-to-day experiences we encounter have on our inner self. Take a daughter who is constantly being shouted at by her father, although she might be able to walk around with a broad smile at times the shouting could have an adverse effect on the poor girl’s inner self. Our inner self is the intimate part of our self; we keep it very guarded deep inside us. It is very delicate and some of us burry our inner selves so deep inside us we don’t even acknowledge it exists but underlying all our subconscious decisions as well as our self-doubt lays the true problem of an ailing inner self. Our inner selves are able to absorb all this to help us cope with stressful situations.

At times our inner self helps us deal with an irrational situation say for instance when someone abuses our trust our inner self will absorb all the raft of emotions but then we have to deal with our inner self eventually to enable us to function much more effectively. At times we block certain bad memories to enable us to move on but we are suppose to be able to develop emotionally and slowly deal with our inner self until we totally heal our inner self.

Only by understanding our inner self-can we start the healing process of our inner self, shall one realize his/ her full potential as well as achieve true peace of mind.

I remember before I understood my inner self I always carried burnt up anger in me and was very much stress most of the times . I could not understand how I always moved about with all the burnt up rage inside me even though there was really nothing to warrant any anger this was because of an inner self that needed healing.

As human beings we hurt each other on a day to day basis and when someone hurts us badly especially emotionally we usually cope by burying the hurt deep within us and as time passes we forget about what we hid in our inner self but that doesn’t mean its dealt with . The hidden raw emotions in our inner self will continue to affect us subconsciously until we reach deep inside our selves and deal with the raw emotions in our inner self only then can we start to have inner peace. We subconsciously make irrational decisions, which at times do not make sense to our conscious mind.

By understanding our inner self, we are able to heal the self. By healing our inner self, we are able to leave behind bad traits that hold us back. This leads us to self-discovery.

Overall understanding your inner self will help you realize your voice, which will in turn enable you to function much more effectively at ease with yourself and much more relaxed, which makes you realize your full potential. You have the power within to take charge of your life. So get started today by learning the benefits of self-talk, self-development and so forth.
