Warts Removal and Causes

Warts are harmless skin growths caused by a virus. They have a rough surface on which tiny dark specks may be seen. They may grow on any part of the body and their appearance depends on their location.

Warts are a type of infection caused by viruses in the human papillomavirus (HPV) family. There are more than 100 types of HPV viruses. Warts can grow on all parts of your body. They can grow on your skin, on the inside of your mouth, on your genitals and on your rectal area. Some types of HPV tend to cause warts on the skin, while other HPV types tend to cause warts on the genitals and rectal area. Some people are more naturally resistant to the HPV viruses and don't seem to get warts as easily as other people.

A wart on the bottom of the foot is most definitely a plantars wart. You can try OTC wart removers if you want to keep on it for awhile or you can see a dermatologist to have them removed. They will also look to see if there are more smaller warts that are invisible to you that also need removing.

Warts are caused by a virus and since it is is a virus, it needs air to live, Cover the wart on your elbow with duct tape, making sure that no air can get in. Keep it up for about ten days and by then the wart should be dead. Take a emery board and rub the dead skin off.

Try adding mushrooms to your diet, as they have antiviral properties. The milk from a Scottish thistle plant dissolves warts, these plants are a tallish bush with mauve and white flowers and they grow wild everywhere in South Australia, they are an introduced species. Just a bit of advice though, make sure you get the right thistle as others could cause a burning, itching rash that will last for at least a week

Crushed fresh garlic works, but be very careful not to get it on the surrounding skin. it burns away the wart. Take a Vitamin A and a Zinc and it will kill the warts they will shrivel up and fall off it's painless. For a home remedie try cutting a potatoe in half and rub the center of it on the wart. In a few days it will be gone.

Cut a small peice of the duct tape and wear it on the wart for about a week. Replace it if needed. Something with the adhesive of the duct tape, tends to dry out the wart.

The use of castor oil is one of the most important home remedies for warts. This oil should be applied generously over the affected parts every night. The treatment should be continued for several months.
