Your Online Business - Is There Any Guarantee Your Going To Make Money With It?

The only guarantee in life is that you are going to go to sleep tonight.

Just because you have an online business is in no way a guarantee that your going to make any money. Plenty of folks have gym memberships. They are all members right? What percentage of them do you think actually go to the gym on a regular bases. The truth is, a very small percentage.

I love to workout. I wake up at 4:30am to be in the gym by five Monday thru Friday and I go at 9:00 on Saturdays. Why? Because I have fitness goals that I am fully committed to. What I notice is that in January of every year, the gym is packed to the gills with people who have made New Years Resolutions to get fit and lose weight. A few weeks later, those same folks are nowhere to be found.

You would ask why, right? Resolutions are not habits and if you don’t stay the course and be persistent and consistent in your efforts, you will fall back into your comfort zone. Does this mean that the gym didn't work?

It’s The Same Thing In Your Online Business

Most get started in an online business to replace their income or subsidize it. The sad fact is, people want to be told exactly what to do in their jobs and they come into business with that same mindset. To make it in business, you have to develop an entrepreneurs mindset, decide that you are going to do whatever it takes to succeed.

The most deadly words I hear all to often is, “I will give it a try and see if it works.” When I hear that, I tell people they mine as well quit right now because they don’t stand a chance. If you put a time limit on your success, your setting yourself up for failure.

Know That Your Going To Win

My mentor and coach Aaron Rashkin has a great saying. He says if your why doesn’t make you cry, it’s not big enough. You have to know what you want and be emotional about it or it’s not really your why. Throwing mud at your future and hoping it will stick is a crap shoot. You have to decide that your going to see your why through to the end. Are you going to run into obstacles? Yep!

This is why few people will ever make any serious money online. Few folks are ready to go through the tough times to see it through to the terrific times. Your going to reach road blocks that you must be able to barrel through. You have to decide that no matter what is thrown your way, your going to move past it and continue on.

Investing In You

The only investment that NEVER depreciates in value is people (YOU). Invest in yourself first so that you can invest in other people. Why is it that people will invest tens of thousands into a college education but yet once college is over, they feel that every other investment in a course is an expense. I will tell you why. Their mindset is all wrong and their belief is not there.

You have to invest in courses, tools and your business in order for it to pay dividends. My business is my baby. I have to feed it until it is mature enough to feed itself and then as time goes on, feed me. Don’t be afraid to invest in yourself.

Putting It All On The Line

Things will happen for you when you decide that your never going to quit and you commit. Commitment means to put all your resources forward ahead of time. If your stranded on an Island with hostiles and you burn your ships, you will be forced to fight or die. Don't burn the ships and you have the option to retreat. If you are sitting on $10,000 and you know you need it to move your business forward, invest it. That could be the single thing that is holding you back.

That is your comfort cushion and until you get rid of it, you will always mentally have that fall back money in your mind. That investment could be what is keeping you from realizing your dreams and taking your business to the next level.

Get out of and stay out of your comfort zone. Growth always happens in this place.
